See the light in others and treat them as if that is all you see.” ~~Wayne Dyer
How much better would our relationships and our lives be if we lived by this mantra? I am convinced that it takes more energy to find fault and criticize others than it does to just be nice and look for the good. Why not conserve energy and look for the good in others? It is there. We all have divinity within us. As we begin to look for that light in others, we will indeed find the good in them while also discovering our own divinity. What we focus on tends to grow, so doesn’t it make sense that if we want someone to become better that we focus on that which is good within them? I have something simple that I practice in my life to try and make the world a little better, and it is this: If I think something good about someone, I tell them. If I hear someone else say something good about a person, I pass it on.
Gandhi said,
You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”
I want the world to be filled with light, so I am choosing to see the light in others. How about you?
